Merlin - Season Three Premieres On Syfy In January

THE magic is back! The popular series Merlin,starring Colin Morgan, Bradley James and Anthony Head, returns for a third season on The Syfy Channel beginning Friday, January 7th @ 10:00 p.m. EST/PST, immediately following tag team partner WWE Friday Night SmackDown®.

Season three sees the young wizard Merlin (Colin Morgan) in increasingly more dangerous and dark battles in his secret quest to protect Prince Arthur (Bradley James) in the fabled kingdom of Camelot, where magic is forbidden by King Uther (Anthony Head). They rejoin Katie McGrath, who portrays the mesmerizing Morgana -- who has a dark destiny of her own -- Angel Coulby as her loyal maid Gwen, and Richard Wilson as wise Court physician Gaius. The new season finds Camelot’s heroes pushed to their limits as the kingdom is thrown into turmoil by the return of Morgana from a year’s absence.

A host of new guest stars joins the regular cast to enthrall audiences over the 13-week run. Harry Melling (The Harry Potter movies) portrays Gilli, Warwick Davis (The Harry Potter movies, The Chronicles of Narnia) will play Grettir, Miriam Margoyles (The Harry Potter movies, Being Julia) will play Grunhilda, and Mark Williams (The Harry Potter movies, The Fast Show) is the voice of a mischievous Goblin. Guest stars from the previous season such as Emilia Fox (The Pianist, Ballet Shoes) who plays Morgause, and Santiago Cabrera (Heroes, Che), who plays Launcelot, will also be returning, and legendary actor John Hurt once again provides the Voice of the Great Dragon.

Sanctuary ' s Robin Dunne Goes Beyond Sherwood On Syfy

Photo copyright of the Syfy Channel"][/caption] THE Syfy Channel celebrates the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with a four-day, 34-movie marathon showcasing the world premiere of the Syfy original movie Beyond Sherwood Forest (starring Sanctuary's Robin Dunne), 16 James Bond flicks and creature features like Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. In Beyond Sherwood Forest, premiering Saturday, November 28th @ 9 p.m. EST/PST, the evil Sheriff of Nottingham (Julian Sands, Warlock) uses a young woman (Erica Durance, Smallville) - cursed to live in the form of a dragon - to hunt down and destroy young Robin Hood (Robin Dunne). The curtain goes up on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26th @ 8 a.m. EST/PST with the first ever 007 movie, Dr. No. Seven more Bond films air that day, including the network premiere of Casino Royale at 9 p.m. EST/PST, which introduced Daniel Craig into the long-running franchise. Syfy's Bond-fest continues Friday, November 27th with eight more films, beginning at 8 a.m. EST/PST with Thunderball and ending with Never Say Never Again at 2:30 a.m. EST/PST, both starring Sean Connery. Running Saturday, November 28th and Sunday, November 29th from 9 a.m. EST/PST through 3 a.m. EST/PST both days, the weekend creature feature movie festival is highlighted by genre favorites such as Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, Lake Placid 2, Cyclops and Anaconda 3.
