THE captivating action-adventure series Legend of the Seeker will premiere its highly-anticipated second season the weekend of November 7th. The two-hour television event will begin with the first season's thrilling finale followed by the riveting second season premiere episode. Combining elements of fantasy, adventure, magic, mystery and romance with state-of-the-art visual effects and high level of action, Legend of the Seeker is an adaptation of internationally best-selling author Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth book series.
Joining the cast this season as a series regular is Tabrett Bethell (Mei Li Johnson), reprising her role as the fierce Mord'Sith Cara, who threatens Richard (Craig Horner, Monarch Cove and Blue Water High) and Kahlan's (Bridget Regan, Sex and the City and The Best and the Brightest) close relationship. Additionally, actress Charisma Carpenter, best known for her starring role as Cordelia on the long-running hit series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, will guest-star in the season premiere as a wicked Mord'Sith named Triana, who challenges Cara's authority.
In the second season, Richard, Kahlan and Zedd (Bruce Spence, Mad Max 2 and The Matrix Revolutions) will encounter an array of rich and compelling new characters, both good and evil, and they will be tested in ways that they never could have imagined. The trio will discover that in defeating the bloodthirsty tyrant Darken Rahl (Craig Parker, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) at the end of season one, their victory is short-lived as they inadvertently opened a rift into the underworld, thus unleashing even greater evils on the world.
