Joel Kinnaman and Jodi Balfour in “For All Mankind,” now streaming on Apple TV+.
In celebration of National Astronaut Day on May 5 and ahead of the last full supermoon of 2020 (known as the Flower Moon), set to rise on May 7, Apple TV+ released a virtual tour of the fictitious Jamestown moon base set featured in season one of the epic space drama For All Mankind. Hosted by Garrett Reisman, former NASA astronaut and crew member for the International Space Station who serves as a NASA technical advisor on the Apple TV+ series, the video gives an up close look at some of the Jamestown set pieces seen in the series and showcases what a moon base could have looked like in the Apollo era. From showering to working out, see how astronauts would have lived in this alternate-reality series that explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. The video tour is available on the Apple TV app, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram.
Deemed the “Feel-Good Astronaut TV Drama of the Season” by Thrillist, when it premiered last fall, For All Mankind explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. The series presents an aspirational world where NASA astronauts, engineers and their families find themselves in the center of extraordinary events seen through the prism of an alternate history timeline — a world in which the USSR beats the US to the moon. https://apple.co/ForAllMankind
