Highlights from the event included:
- Bartenders appeared in disguise as Jackie Daytona (complete with toothpick), and DJ Daisy O’Dell guided the music as The Guide.
- Specialty cocktails for the non-bloodthirsty included “Hot Vamp Summer” and “Bat Outta Hell,” a Shirley Temple re-named “Baby Colin Robinson,” and, of course, some human alcohol beer.
- Guests received branded What We Do in the Shadows mints to combat Bat Breath.
What We Do in the Shadows, based on the feature film by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, documents the nightly exploits of vampire roommates Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) as they navigate the modern world of Staten Island with the help of their human familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén).
Season three of What We Do in the Shadows recently earned seven Emmy Award nominations, including one for Outstanding Comedy Series. Season four airs Tuesdays at 10pm ET/PT on FX, streaming the next day on Hulu.
