Hit-Monkey - Season Two Trailer And Key Art Released (Hulu)

Check out the official trailer (below) and key art (above) for the second season of Hulu's Hit-Monkey, premiering Monday, July 15th. 

In Hit-Monkey, a Japanese snow monkey, aided by the ghost of an American assassin, goes on a killing-spree, and becomes the famous “killer of killers.” In season two, Monkey finds  in New York City and is on a path to escape his life of killing, while Bryce attempts to repair the damage to those he wronged in life. But what will it cost them to undo the past? Hit-Monkey stars the voices of Leslie Jones, Ally Maki, Cristin Milioti, Olivia Munn, Fred Tatasciore, and Jason Sudeikis. The series is co-created and executive produced by Josh Gordon & Will Speck. The second season of Hit-Monkey is produced by 20th Television Animation with animation by Floyd County Productions.

Apple TV+ today unveiled a first-look at the upcoming fourth season of its widely acclaimed, BAFTA Award-winning espionage series Slow Horses, starring Academy Award winner Gary Oldman. Adapted from Spook Street, the fourth novel in the CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning Mick Herron spy series Slough House, season four of Slow Horses will premiere globally on Wednesday, September 4th with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode weekly, every Wednesday through October 2nd, on Apple TV+.

Slow Horses is a darkly humorous espionage drama that follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 known un-affectionately as Slough House. Season four opens with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, rocking the already unstable foundations of Slough House.

Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but misanthropic leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world. The returning ensemble cast also includes Academy Award-nominee Kristin Scott Thomas, BAFTA Scotland Award-winner Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan and Academy Award-nominee Jonathan Pryce. SAG Winner Hugo Weaving, BAFTA winner Joanna Scanlan, IFTA winner Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke and James Callis join Slow Horses in season four.

Slow Horses is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith (Veep). Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Jane Robertson, Julian Stevens, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Graham Yost and Will Smith serve as executive producers on the series. Season four is directed by Adam Randall.

Fans can catch up on the first three seasons of Slow Horses, which all hold a Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, now streaming globally on Apple TV+. In addition to the upcoming fourth season, Apple TV+ recently announced a fifth season set to be adapted from the fifth novel, London Rules.

Since its premiere in 2022, Slow Horses has won two BAFTA Television Awards while earning nine additional nominations. The 2024 wins were for Best Editing: Fiction (Sam Williams) and Best Sound: Fiction (Sound Team), and the nominations across 2023 and 2024 included Best Drama Series, Oldman’s first for Best Lead Actor; Lowden’s for Best Supporting Actor; Best Editing: Fiction (Zsófia Tálas); Best Editing: Fiction (Katie Weiland); Best Original Music: Fiction (Daniel Pemberton and Mick Jagger); Best Sound: Fiction (Martin Jensen, Joe Beal, Duncan Price, Craig Butters, Sarah Elias and Andrew Sissons); and, Best Hair and Makeup Design (Lucy Sibbick). The series also landed the award for Best English-Language Drama Series at the 2022 C21 International Drama Awards.

HBO's Lanterns Greenlit

HBO, in association with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios, has given an eight-episode, straight-to-series order for Lanterns, a new drama series based on the iconic DC title. Emmy-nominee Chris Mundy (HBO’s True Detective: Night Country, Ozark) will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Emmy-winner Damon Lindelof (HBO’s Watchmen and The Leftovers) and Eisner Award winner Tom King (Mister Miracle, Supergirl) will co-write the new series with Mundy. Lindelof and King will also serve as executive producers.

The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.

Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO, HBO and Max Content, says: “We are elated to be reuniting with both Chris Mundy and Damon Lindelof as they partner with Tom for this fresh take on DC’s Green Lantern. As part of James and Peter’s vision for the DC Universe, this first new live action series will mark an exciting new era.”

HBO's Harry Potter Series Finds Its Writer & Director

HBO, in association with Warner Bros. Television, has named Francesca Gardiner (HBO’s Succession and His Dark Materials, Killing Eve) as showrunner and executive producer, and Mark Mylod (HBO’s Succession, Game of Thrones and The Last of Us) as executive producer and director of multiple episodes of the upcoming original Harry Potter series. The new series, currently in development, will be available on Max’s expanding global footprint.

The series will be a faithful adaptation of the beloved Harry Potter book series by author and executive producer J.K. Rowling. The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail and much-loved characters “Harry Potter” fans have loved for over twenty-five years. Each season will bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and cherished films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally.

The series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod will executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the series for HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television. The series is executive produced by J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.

Anne Rice's Interview With The Vampire Renewed For Third Season (AMC/AMC+)

AMC Networks today announced it has renewed the critically acclaimed series Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire for a third season, days before the finale of its second season on AMC and AMC+. The first series in its Anne Rice Immortal Universe, Interview has attracted a loyal base of passionate fans, excellent reviews and has the rare distinction of receiving 98-point scores for both its first and second seasons on Rotten Tomatoes.

AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe now includes three series: Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, which is currently in production on its second season, and the recently greenlit Anne Rice’s The Talamasca (wprking title). 

In season three, resentful of the perfunctory portrayal in the trashy bestseller Interview With The Vampire, the Vampire Lestat sets his story straight in a way only the Vampire Lestat can—by starting a band and going on tour.  Gabrielle. Nicholas. Magnus. Marius. Those Who Must Be Kept. They join Louis, Armand, Molloy, Sam, Raglan, Fareed and others we can’t tell you about yet on a sexy pilgrimage across space, time and trauma. The current second season of Interview stars Jacob Anderson, along with Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles and Ben Daniels. The series is executive produced by award-winning producer Mark Johnson (who oversees AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe), creator, writer and showrunner Rolin Jones, Mark Taylor, along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice. The highly anticipated season two finale is this Sunday, June 30 on AMC+ and at 9 p.m. on AMC.

Snowpiercer - Fourth And Final Season Trailer & Key Art Released (AMC/AMC+)

AMC Networks today released the official trailer and key art for the fourth and final season of Snowpiercer, premiering Sunday, July 21st at 9pm ET/PT exclusively on AMC and AMC+. The first three seasons of the Tomorrow Studios-produced thriller are now available to stream exclusively on AMC+. Check out the trailer below!

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the graphic novel series by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette, and the film from Oscar-winner Bong Joon Ho (Parasite). The action-packed finale of Season 3 left a split with Melanie Cavill (Jennifer Connelly) leading the Eternal Engine and those passengers who chose to stay aboard Snowpiercer for relative safety, and Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) leading the others on Big Alice choosing to adventure to the unknown, outside world of New Eden.

The Penguin Starring Colin Farrell - Second Official Teaser Trailer & Key Art Released (Max)

Max has released an official second teaser and tease art for The Penguin, from Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios, debuting this September. Starring Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka “The Penguin”), the eight-episode DC Studios limited series continues filmmaker Matt Reeves' The Batman epic crime saga that began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster The Batman. Developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc, the series centers on the character played by Farrell in the film. Check out the teaser below!

From Eagle Eye Drama (The Couple Next Door, Professor T), first look images have been released for the second series of Suspect, an eight-part drama which is coming to Channel 4 in the UK this Summer to stream and watch live and to BritBox International in the US and Canada in the Fall.

The second season picks up where the first left off, with Dr Susannah Newman (Anne-Marie Duff; Bad Sisters, The Salisbury Poisonings) on a quest to find the truth about her daughter’s tragic death. When a mysterious new client Jon Fallow (Dominic Cooper; Preacher, Mamma Mia!) makes a disturbing confession under hypnosis, Susannah is forced to embark on her own deadly mission to save a life, the way she couldn’t do with her own daughter…

Suspect is adapted from the Danish original Forhøret (Face to Face) created by Christoffer Boe and written by Christoffer Boe and Anna Juul. The original series was produced by Miso Film, a Fremantle company, and executive produced by Christoffer Boe, Jonas Allen and Peter Bose who also serve as Executive Producers on Suspect.

Production Begins On A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms (HBO)

Production has commenced on the HBO Original drama series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms in Belfast, Ireland. The series is an adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s novella “The Hedge Knight.”

The series is set a century before the events of Game of Thrones, and follows the adventures of two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey), and his diminutive squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). The Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

Newly announced cast for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms includes Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Barotheon, and Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen, alongside previously announced cast members Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell. Also Sarah Adina Smith (Lessons In Chemistry, Hanna, Buster’s Mal Heart) has joined to direct three of the six episodes. Previously announced director and executive producer Owen Harris will also direct three episodes.

HBO Renews House Of The Dragon For Third Season

The HBO Original drama series House of the Dragon has been renewed for a third season, ahead of the launch of the second season debuting SUNDAY, JUNE 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO and streaming on Max. Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen.
