SPOILER ALERT!!- Under the new leadership of Jenny Lewis (Lucy Brown), the team races to intercept the largest anomaly they have yet to encounter. Unfortunately for them, a dogged journalist and his media mogul boss have also located the anomaly and are on their way as well. Soon after arriving, they get more than they bargained for when a Giganotosaurus (or G-Rex) emerges from the anomaly. Bigger than a Tyrannosaurus Rex, the creature has little patience for the journalists and, after dealing with them, makes its way to a nearby airport where it terrorizes the crew of a 747 aircraft that is parked on the runway. Much to our heroes' surprise, Danny Quinn (Jason Flemyng) arrives unexpectedly on the scene and is determined to lend a hand. Episode four of season three airs Saturday, June 6th @ 9 p.m. EST/PST on BBC America.

Only discovered recently in South America, Giganotosaurus lived about 93-89 million years ago during the Cretaceous Era and was distantly related to the Jurassic Allosaurs. At that time, the continent supported herds of giant herbivores called the Titanosaurids. It is believed the carnivorous Giganotosaurus evolved to bring down these huge animals, some weighing up to 100 tons.
